Blanch due to a twist of fate—he was horseback riding next to Ted Blanch during his sophomore year of college and landed an entry level position. Rod quickly rose through the ranks becoming the CEO and helping to take the company public.
After that, Rod founded Benfield Group’s US reinsurance platform, and served as CEO of Praetorian Financial Group until he led the restructuring and successful sale of the $2B specialty property and casualty insurer to QBE.
In 2008, Rod founded TigerRisk where he is currently the managing partner and executive chairmen. Rod's work has led him all over the world and TigerRisk currently has offices in London, Bermuda, Ireland, and Australia. TigerRisk has over 300 employees and hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue.
